Our Mission Statement: Our Mission Is Fun

Island Sports Shop has been a local surf shop and rental business in the Destin area for years. As a result we have personally field tested most of the products we sell, and have benefitted from the direct feedback of our customers. We have received a lot of enjoyment from serving our customers and watching their children grow up as surfers or kayakers, and valued citizens of our local community.

 We are ceasing operations. The recession has done us in and we have been supporting our business from our savings in the hope the economy would rebound. That looks like it may be several years away, so we are going to quit. We want to thank all of our loyal customers who have supported us for all these years. We have valued your business and your friendship, and we wish you the very best. We hope you will take time to spend some happy hours outdoors with your family.
