Island Sports Shop Ordering and Shipping Information

 

We have added online shopping for most of our products, and from time to time we may find we have sold out of a particular model, or color. Don't worry, if the product you selected happens to be out of stock we will call you and give you an opportunity to select another model or color that is in stock, or If you prefer you will get a prompt, no hassle refund.

When we do discover a particular color or model is out of stock we remove it from the shopping cart. If you select a product and find that the color is not available in the shopping cart, this means that particular color is temporarily out of stock. Please try again later.

You will still have to place your kayak orders by phone. Ordering a kayak is a piece of cake. Tell us the model and color you want, and we will check to be sure it is in stock. After we verify the model and color you want is in stock we will call you back for your credit card information, get your shipping address, and phone number, and turn in the purchase order for your kayak.

No matter what you buy, we are just a phone call away. If you experience delivery problems, or have questions about your purchase just give us a call. We are always glad to talk to our customers.

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express.  Please do not e-mail credit card numbers. We will call you for that information.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed, so if you aren't happy with the product you ordered just give us a call to get shipping instructions, return the product in the original packaging, and you will get a full refund once we receive the product. You will have to pay for, and arrange return shipping.

Most of the products we sell are delivered within 7 to 10 work days with the following exceptions:  Kayak deliveries usually take two to three weeks, as they are shipped by motor freight. Worksman Bikes take 4 to 5 weeks, as they are all made to order. If you do not receive your product in the specified time, call us and we will see that it gets to you.  We rarely have any shipping problems, but mistakes do occur, and we stand ready to help you if the need arises.

We pay the shipping costs for all kayaks, surfboards, and bicycles. We also pay the shipping costs for all accessories with a minimum purchase of $50.00.  For all purchases below $50.00, we add $6.95 shipping and handling. Our shipping program only applies to shipments within the lower 48 U.S. states. If you live outside this area you can call us for prices and availability.

 Shipping is usually by UPS, or FedEx, except for kayaks, and some of the larger Worksman trikes, which ship by motor freight.

Kayak prices include freight, but do not include a residential delivery fee of 40.00.  You can avoid the 40.00 fee if you can have your kayak delivered to a commercial address.  Kayaks are shipped by motor freight instead of UPS. If the 18 wheeler can unload your kayak at your commercial address, the price on the website is the delivered price; except for florida residents, who are subect to a 7% state sales tax. You can have your kayak delivered to your home, just add $40.00 to the price.

We know that sounds a little confusing, but it is a loop hole that will save you $40.00. If you don't understand give us a call.

Important!
When you recieve your shipment, inspect the packaging carefully for damage.  If you see any damage to the packing, refuse delivery unless the driver will wait until you inspect the product.  If there is damage, refuse delivery, and call us. If you have purchased a kayak unwrap it and inspect it for damage as they can suffer damage even though the packaging looks OK.

Hours Of Operation

We exist to serve our customers, and if you have a technical question, need parts, or advice, give us a call. If we don't know the answer we will ask the manufacturer.

If you are buying one of our products for a Christmas present you will need to get your order in before December 12.  We can still make deliveries of kayak accessories, Caloi Bicycles, and the kayak fishing and sea kayaking videos in time for Christmas, if you get your order in by December 12. We close our local business the last week of December, and the month of January. We re-open on Feb. 1. We are available to our online customers the year around. If you need to contact us during this time, while we may be out of the office from time to time, we do check our messages and e-mail. Just leave us a phone messaage, or send us an e-mail message.

We will never release your name or any personal information to anyone else without your permission.  (If you get e-mails from Monster Marketing you can be sure they didn't learn about you from us.)

Our customers are the nicest people in the country, and we value our internet customers just as highly as our local customers.  The net continues to be a valuable source of income for us, and we work hard to please all of our customers, and you most of all.
