The sidekick is one of the most versatile kayaks in the 2008 Ocean Kayak lineup. It can be paddled easily solo, but can carry a small passenger as well. It has loads of room and looks like it would work well to fish from. There isn't an angler option at this time, but you can buy 2 rod holders for $38.00 and install them yourself.
If you have a child who could be a passenger from time to time, or a pet that likes kayaking, you should check the sidekick out.

The sidekick comes with an adult seatback. The child's position has a molded in seat. It also has a 6" screw in hatch, molded in drink holder, and paddle clips. It has carry handles fore and aft, plus two side mounted carry handles to aid in car topping. You can see from the deck layout that you have loads of room when paddling solo. The cargo net in the stern will fasten down gear such as scuba tanks or fishng tackle. If you have purchased one of these boats we would apreciate an owners report.
