Beachcomber Sizing Information
How To Measure Your Kayak For A Kayak Cart
We no longer have a fit chart for the beachcomber kayak carts as it became outdated and we weren't able to get all of the manufacturers current specifications. However making the measurements required is a pretty simple task, and absolute precision is not required. You should try to measure as close as you can though.
The beachcomber carts are adjustable but the range of adjustment is about 6" or less, so one size doesn't fit all boats. The size of the scupper hole is pretty important as a bushing fits into this hole to keep the Beachcomber aligned properly.

Measure Hole Diameter |
Make Lateral Measurement |
Measure the hole diameter as in the left photo. This Scupper hole is about 1-1/4" in diameter as you can see. Then measure from the center of one scupper hole to the center of the other as shown in the photo above. These holes measure about 11-1/2" center to center as you can see. Write your measurements down so you can tell us what the measurements were when you call us.
The Beachcomber carts are about the handiest carts made for sit on top kayaks, and the cheapest on the market. This product is a sideline for the manufacturer though, and they aren't sold in the winter months. They start making them in the spring. Because of this we don't have the Beachcomber set up in our shopping cart system.
