We have used Cannon paddles in our rental operation for years. We have found them to be very durable. When you consider that the paddle is an important part of your kayak's drive train, durability is an important feature. The next most important feature is efficiency. If you are going to spend long days in your kayak, you want a good light weight, efficient, paddle that makes paddling easier.
Like most of us you have to fit kayak, gear, and paddles into your budget. These paddles are the best fit for durability, efficiency and price. They all perform well, are durable, and are priced to be kind to your budget. None of these paddles comprimise performance for price. The Cannon assymetric is the tough guy of the lot, but still has good efficiency, although a bit heavier. The cannon escape has good efficiency, and durability, and is still fairly light. A good choice for recreational use. The wave and Cascade paddles have good efficiency, and durability at a great price. The Serenity is a great, light weight, high efficiency paddle for touring. Our prices include shipping in the lower 48 U.S. states.

Choosing A Paddle
If you are going to be surfing your kayak, or going through the surf zone on a regular basis you might consider the assymetric spoon blade paddle, as it has a really sturdy shaft.
If you are going to be paddling long distances weight and efficiency are more important and you might consider the Serenity touring paddle.
For general recreational paddling the Escape, or the Wave are good choices. The budget minded folks might like the Cascade.
If you are small in stature pick a 220cm, medium height pick a 230cm paddle, tall, pick the 240cm.
If your kayak is lean and narrow that size should work ok, but if your kayak is wide you can add one size up to your paddle choice. Say from a 220cm paddle to a 230cm paddle.
If you have a nice wide recreational kayak pick one of the recreational paddles for more power. If your kayak is long and narrow you can use a Serenity touring paddle.
