This is a much lighter bike than the steel frame version, with superior performance and durability. It is easier to pedal, and when you hit a hill, or a head wind, you can drop down a gear or two to ease your work load.
A really great bike for the recreational rider. It is about as trouble free as you can find in a multi speed bike, plus really corrosion resistant.
This bike comes partially assembled. Some assembly is required. It is recommended that the multispeed bikes be assembled by a bike shop, and you can arrange for a local shop to assemble your bike. The charge for this service is usually from $35 to $45 dollars.
Unless you feel comfortable with assembly, we strongly reccomend you take your bike to a shop for assembly.
