Welcome to our Caloi Bicycle department. Many people who come to Destin Florida on vacation go home and order a Caloi bike from us. We have used them in our rental fleet for years, and most of our customers think they are the best riding bikes ever. We think you will like them too.
We added the shopping cart system for your convenience, and we decided not to make a separate link for all of the available colors. Your color selection can be made inside the shopping cart. If you don't see the color you had in mind listed, that means that color is temporarily out of stock. This page has technical specifications and additional information. Our prices include shipping costs in the lower 48 U.S. states. The only additional fee is state sales tax if you live in florida. Caloi Hybrid Bikes
We have photos, prices, and specifications, for the new Caloi hybrid bikes. This is a completely new line of bikes, designed to impress the most hardened commuter or treker. These bikes combine light weight aluminum frames with smooth shifting drive trains, fast stopping "V" brakes, and many comfort bike features to provide comfort, and exceptional performance. Naturally they have the traditional Caloi good looks.
Caloi Comfort Bikes
Check out the new Caloi comfort bikes, designed for pedaling efficiency, and maximum comfort. You will find features like suspension seat posts, adjustable handle bar stems, quick release seat posts, twist grip shifting. Of course you have comfortable Caloi comfort saddles. You will have some assembly to do when your new bike arrives. The crank assembly, chain, rear wheel, and rear brake come assembled. You will have to assemble the front fork, attach the front wheel and front brake (If your bike has front and rear brakes), attach the handle bars, pedals, and front and rear reflectors. The chain has been tightened too tight by the factory to prevent the chain from chaffing the paint during shipment. Loosen the rear wheel and retighten the chain. Assembly is not a bad job, if you are mechanically inclined. If you have any doubts about your mechanical ability you can get a local shop to do the assembly. The charge for this service is usually 35 to 40 dollars.
The multi-speed bikes are a bit more complicated. We strongly reccomend taking multi-speed bikes to a local shop for assembly, to be sure you get the peak performance your bike was designed for. If you do decide to assemble the bike yourself, the chain on the three speed models has been tightened too tight by the factory to prevent the chain from rubbing against the frame during shipment. Loosen the rear wheel, and retighten the chain. If you have any shifting problems take the bike to a shop for tuning to prevent damage to the drive train. The charge for this service is usually 35 to 40 dollars, and worth every penny.

Frame size is just one of the extra choices you have with Caloi bicycles. The frame size is measured from the centerline of the pedal crank, to the top of the seat post. It gives you a guideline in comparing size of bikes. Most department store bikes have a 17" frame. This bike will not be too tall for most grown men. A man should have around 2" clearance from the crotch to the bikes top bar, to help prevent dismount injuries. A man 6'-3" tall can ride a bike with a 17" frame, by extending the seat post. At around 6'-8" you start running out of seat post, and your knees hit the handle bars when you pedal.
So Caloi makes some bikes with a 23" frame. A fellow 6'-8" can ride one of these bikes and look as well proportioned on his bike as you or I would on a 17" frame. It isn't until you or I stand alongside the 6'-8" guys 23" frame that we realize how big it is. The seat will hit you in the center of your chest. A wide range of people can actually ride this big frame, but unless you have an inseam 35" or above, you will not have the 2" clearance.
The chart below is a very rough guide for men's frame sizes.

If you are uncertain, go down one frame size. You may have to select another bike model as all of the frame sizes are not made in every model.
The ladies bikes are also made in different frame sizes. If you are around 5'-0" to about 5'-7" the 15-1/2" frame will work well for you. If you are over 5'-7", you should select something with a 17" frame to provide ample room between your knees and the handle bars.
Foot Forward Bicycle Frames
The new foot forward designs, offered in the Caloi comfort bikes, provide another variation. Ordinarily you adjust your seat height to allow near maximum leg extension, for maximum pedaling power. Unfortunately, if you hit a slippery spot and need to get a foot down to prevent a spill, you are a bit overextended. The foot forward design reduces the amount you have to raise the seat for full leg extension, and places you a bit closer to the ground, so you can put a foot down easier. They ride really good, and you will notice that your seat post is a lot lower than you are used to.

Rio-Cruz
The Rio-Cruz is available in several varieties. You can get either a tough steel frame, or a strong light weight aluminum alloy frame. It is also available in either a single speed coaster brake model or a 3 speed with twist grip shifting, and Shimano 3-speed coaster brake. They also make a mens and ladies bike. All Models are available in a men's 19" frame, and a ladies 15-1/2" frame, all with 26" wheels.
These bikes all come with alloy wheels, and stainless steel spokes, and a strong, Steel cantilever frame, or a strong, light weight, corrosion resistant, Aluminum Alloy, cantilever frame. Either bike will give you years of trouble free performance. We use the Rio Cruz bikes for our rental bikes. We like the durability, and our customers love the performance and comfort. The 19" men's frame is suitable for men with a 30" inseam upwards. If you have a 32" inseam or above you might want to look at the Pan 1, which is available in a 23" steel frame. The ladies 15-1/2" frame will fit a wide range of heights from around 5'0" upwards. Very tall ladies might consider the Pan Am 1 as well, as it comes in a larger 17" frame.

The Ultra-Seven is a really fantastic bike. It is an aluminum diamond frame bike with a

This bike combines many features of road bikes and cruisers to give you the best of both worlds. The tires are larger diameter and lower pressure than standard road bike tires, but not as fat as the regular cruiser tires. You get a smoother ride and a stronger tire than a road bike tire provides, but less rolling friction than with a standard cruiser tire. The ride is softer than a road bike, but a bit firmer than you would expect from a cruiser.

The frame is measured from the crank centerline to the top of the seat post. The 17-1/2" frame is the size most people are familar with. It will fit men with an inseam from around 29" up. The 19-1/2" frame will fit men with an inseam from around 31" upwards.

The smaller 15" frame will fit women from 5'-0" height upwards. Tall women should select the 17" frame, as it will provide more room between the pedals and handle bars, and be easier to pedal.
